About Us
The
Sprouted Grain Bakery was established in late 2005 to
manufacture a range of breads made from organic whole
grain.
The sprouted grain method allows us to avoid
flour and replace it with the whole grain. This process
took a number of years to develop and is the first of
its kind in Australia.
As we researched and developed our initial range of
breads we set about defining what we were trying to
achieve. That is what is our reason and purpose.

Make bread without using flour
Flour is highly processed and the heat used in milling destroys a lot of the nutrients and vitamins. Flour also has most of the germ and bran removed. Flour is used for convenience and ease of processing.
Use certified organic ingredients
Certified organic ingredients are chemical and pesticide free.
This is healthier for you and better for the environment.
Provide the nutritional benefit of sprouted whole grain
Scientific evidence suggests that a diet high in whole grains may reduce the chances of heart disease, bowel disease, diabetes and some forms of cancer. By sprouting the whole grain we also enhance the vitamin and mineral content of the bread.
Keep our products as simple and natural as possible
Too much of our food is highly processed and contains unnecessary additives. Our philosophy requires we keep the ingredients and bread making process as simple and natural as possible.

If you consume bread as a part of a well balanced diet the bread should contribute to your health and well being. All of our ingredients are chosen carefully to help achieve this result.

Our breads are light in texture, golden brown and each variety is deliciously different.
